Chef Logan

Logan absolutely LOVES to help with whatever I am doing.  So I decided to let him help me with breakfast!  Train them EARLY, right?! Here are a few pictures I snapped...

Making biscuits...

I thought this was cute.. He was really into his cartoon while walking the biscuits to the oven.

"Mom, stop snapping pictures and open the oven!"

He was AMAZED with the biscuits rising...
Carefully spreading jam on his biscuit!  I LOVE him!!!!!

Outline the small plate onto the paper...

Smear with finger so that the entire top part of the letter has glue on it...

Sprinkle glitter.....

Glue wooden letter to the plate. I had left over rhinestones from the first plate, so I added it to plate.

Diaper Wreath

So today I decided to set aside all my sewing/embroidery and start on a few craft projects.  The first craft is a diaper wreath that I have been putting off getting together.  It's for a sweet friend that will be having a precious girl named, Rylee.  She's due in early October so I told myself that I needed to,"get to stepping". :)  So here we go...
This is what I used:
  • a wooden letter (I went ahead and painted it)
  • acrylic paint
  • ribbon
  • glue gun
  • scissors
  • rubber bands
  • a pack of newborn diapers

Start by rolling your diapers from one end to the other...wrap with rubber band!
Take your ribbon and wrap around the diaper as tight as you can.  Cut ribbon, but DO NOT glue yet!

Now take that piece of cut ribbon and measure enough and cut however many strips needed for each rolled diaper.  It took me 21 diapers for the one I made...but they were also size 3 diapers so that would probably make a difference.
Now wrap each rolled diaper with a strip of ribbon.  Put a strip of hot glue on the ribbon and secure tight.  Make sure to seal ribbon at the opening part of the diaper because you will attach the "ugly" side to the wreath.
This is what it should look like.
Next, put two strips of hot glue side by side to the back part of each rolled diaper and place on the wreath.  Hold it down for 10 seconds each to make sure the glue sticks to the foam wreath.  Squeeze the diapers next to each other as you glue each one on so that there's not a gap in between each diaper.
After all diapers are glued on!
Last, hot glue your trinkets to the ribbon part on the wreath.  The idea is to be able to use the diapers later . I will probably add a "It's a Girl" or "Welcome" ribbon below the "R".  This is somewhat time consuming, but it's such a personal, cute, and unique baby gift! :)
